TRANSLATION OF MULTIPSK AND CLOCK
Help of the user
For the Ham and SWL who don't read English or French, it is possible to use a translation file
which permits to pass from French or English to the wished language.
For this, in the menu "Translation file", the user will have the possibility to choose between:
* either "English to another language" if he disposes of the file Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT or the file Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
* or "French to another language" if he disposes of the file Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT or the file Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT

These translation files are neither produced or managed by the author, but by volunteer translators (see their specific help hereafter).
The labels, hints, error messages or information messages are translated in the target language.
If the word or the sentence has no translation in the translation file, it will be given either in English or in French according to the selected language in the "Lang(u)age" menu.

Thus the translation files are the following:
* for a translation from French:
- Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT (for Multipsk)
- Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT (for Clock)
* for a translation from English:
- Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT (for Multipsk)
- Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT (for Clock)
To be recognized, these files must be in the same folder as the Multipsk.EXE file.

Help of the translator
1) Description of a skeleton file (Skeleton_....TXT):
It is found with this file, a set of wordings, each one followed by a void line.
Each wording represents either a title (of a button, for example), or a hint (obtained remaining a fraction of second with the mouse pointed on the mouse), or an error message, or an information message.
Each void line can house a translation (limited to 255 characters) which will be taken into account by Multipsk and Clock.
The translation is not compulsory. But in this case, it is necessary to let a void line.
In fact, Multipsk or Clock is waiting a set of groups of 2 lines:
* a non void line with the wording in the original language (English or French),
* followed by a line either void or not, containing possibly the translation.
In a general manner, it will be found titles and hints mixed with error messages or information messages.

2) First translation
The translator disposes, the following skeleton files:

Squelette_Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
Skeleton_Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT
Skeleton_Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT
If he translates from English, he will only used the files:
Skeleton_Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT (for Clock)
Skeleton_Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT (for Multipsk)

He will translate each line by filling the void line below the wording.
The translation is not compulsory. But in there is no translation, it can be let a void line.
Note: by lack of available time, the author (F6CTE) can't help translators for about the meaning of the wordings. They must refer to the help. The help can't either modify the lenght of the captions or the used set of characters ("MS Sans Serif").

Once finished, the translator must remove the word "Squelette_" or "Skeleton_" from the files names so as they become translation files for Clock or for Multipsk.
The translation files must be located in the Multipsk folder. Hence, they will be called:
* for a translation from French:
- Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
- Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
* for a translation from English:
- Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT
- Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT

Multipsk will load, for example, the Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT file, then will take all the translations done in the target language and will display them when required.
If there is no translation, Multipsk will choose the wording in the language selected by the user in the menu "Lang(u)age"
Note: Multipsk cannot use, in the same time, 2 translation files from English and French. It is either one or the other one.

3) Updating of the translation files
When a new version of Clock ou Multipsk is issued (but not for new sub-version), it may be proposed new skeleton files. To pass from the version n to the version n+1 of the translation file, with the new skeleton file, it must be used the MULTIPSK_CLOCK_LANGUAGE_FILES_UPDATING.exe program.

With this .EXE program, the translation file of the Multipsk or Clock version "n" and the skeleton file version "n+1" in the same folder, after updating startup, it will be created a new translation file with:
* the skeleton wordings of the version "n+1",
* the available translations of these wordings from the translation file of the version "n".
It will remain, afterwards, to complete this file with the translation of the new wordings.
Once finished, it will be necessary to rename it (suppress "New_") to as it becomes
the translation file at the version "n+1".

To abstract, with:
Skeleton_Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT and
Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT,
will produce the file: New_Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT

Or:
Skeleton_Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT and
Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT,
will produce the file: New_Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT

TRADUCTION DE MULTIPSK ET CLOCK
Aide de l'utilisateur
Pour les OM et SWL qui ne lisent pas l'anglais ou le français, il est possible de se servir d'un fichier de traduction faisant passer du français à la langue souhaitée.
Pour cela, dans le menu "Fichier de traduction", on pourra choisir:
* soit "Anglais vers une autre langue" si l'on dispose du fichier Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT ou du fichier Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
* soit "Français vers une autre langue" si l'on dispose du fichier Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT ou du fichier Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT

Ces fichiers de traduction ne sont ni produits ni gérés par l'auteur, mais par des volontaires traducteurs (voir leur aide spécifique ci-après).
Les libellés, conseils, messages d'erreur ou d'information seront traduits dans la langue cible.
Si le mot ou la phrase n'a pas de traduction dans le fichier de traduction, il sera donné dans sa version anglaise ou française en fonction de la langue choisie dans le menu "Lang(u)age".

Les fichiers de traductions sont donc les suivants:
* pour une traduction depuis le français:
- Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT (pour Multipsk)
- Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT (pour Clock)
* pour une traduction depuis l'anglais:
- Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT (pour Multipsk)
- Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT (pour Clock)
Pour être reconnus, ces fichiers devront être dans le même répertoire que le fichier Multipsk.EXE.

Aide du traducteur
1) Description d'un fichier squelette (Squelette_...TXT):
On trouve dans ce fichier, un ensemble de libellés, chacun suivi d'une ligne vide.
Chaque libellé représente soit le titre (d'un bouton par exemple), soit son conseil (obtenu en restant une fraction de seconde avec la souris pointée sur le bouton), soit un message d'erreur, soit un message d'information.
Chaque ligne vide peut abriter une traduction (limitée à 255 caractères) qui sera prise en compte par Multipsk et Clock.
La traduction n'est pas obligatoire. Mais dans ce cas-là, il faut laisser une ligne vide.
En effet, Multipsk ou Clock s'attend à trouver un ensemble de groupes de 2 lignes:
* une ligne non vide avec le libellé dans la langue originale (anglais ou français),
* suivie d'une ligne vide ou non vide, contenant éventuellement la traduction.
De manière générale, on trouvera les titres et les conseils mélangés puis les messages d'erreur puis les messages d'information.

2) Première traduction
Le traducteur a à sa disposition, les fichiers squelettes suivants:

Skeleton_Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT
S'il traduit depuis le français, il se servira seulement des fichiers:
Squelette_Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT (pour l'application "Clock")
Squelette_Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT (pour l'application "Multipsk")

Il traduira chaque ligne en remplissant la ligne vide en-dessous du libellé.
La traduction n'est pas obligatoire. Mais s'il n'y a pas de traduction, il faut laisser une ligne vide.
Nota: faute de temps disponible, l'auteur (F6CTE) ne peut aider les traducteurs pour ce qui concerne le sens des libellés. Ils devront se référer à l'aide. L'auteur ne peut, non plus, modifier la longueur des libellés ni le jeu de caractères ("MS Sans Serif") utilisé.

Une fois terminé, le traducteur devra enlever le mot "Squelette_" ou "Skeleton_" du nom des fichiers pour que ceux-ci deviennent des fichiers de traduction pour Clock ou pour Multipsk.
Ces fichiers de traduction devront se trouver sur le répertoire de Multipsk. Ils s'appeleront donc:
* pour une traduction depuis le français:
- Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
- Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
* pour une traduction depuis l'anglais:
-Multipsk_English_to_another_language.TXT
- Clock_English_to_another_language.TXT

Multipsk chargera, par exemple, le fichier Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT, puis prendra toutes les traductions faites dans la langue cible et les affichera en cas de besoin.
S'il n'y a pas de traduction, Multipsk choisira le libellé dans la langue choisie par l'utilisateur dans le menu "Lang(u)age"
Nota: Multipsk ne peut se servir, en même temps, des 2 fichiers de traduction depuis l'anglais et le français. C'est l'un ou l'autre.

3) Mis à jour des fichiers de traduction
Lors d'un changement de version Clock ou Multipsk (mais pas lors d'une sous-version), il pourra être proposé de nouveaux fichiers squelettes. Pour passer de la version n à la version n+1 du fichier de traduction, avec le nouveau fichier squelette, il faudra utiliser le programme MULTIPSK_CLOCK_LANGUAGE_FILES_UPDATING.exe

A partir de ce fichier .EXE, du fichier de traduction de la version Multipsk ou Clock "n" et du fichier squelette de la version "n+1" dans le même répertoire, après lancement de la mise à jour, il sera créé un nouveau fichier de traduction avec:
* les libellés du squelette de version "n+1",
* les traductions disponibles de ces libellés depuis le fichier de traduction à la version "n".
Il restera ensuite à compléter ce fichier avec la traduction des nouveaux libellés.
Une fois terminé, il faudra le renommer (supprimer "Nouveau_") pour qu'il devienne
le fichier de traduction à la version "n+1".

Pour résumer, avec:
Squelette_Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT et
Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT,
on produira le fichier: Nouveau_Multipsk_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT

ou:
Squelette_Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT et
Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT,
on produira le fichier: Nouveau_Clock_français_vers_autre_langue.TXT
